According to Dylan Kowalewski, co-editor of MonsterLibrarian.com, I ran across this site while seeking supernatural fiction resources for my audience. I have found this site to have an extensive selection of book reviews and author interviews from “monster” authors. The reviews are sorted into categories for adults, teens, and kids under 12. You can quickly find what you are looking for according to your age group. The author interviews are also easily searchable. You can find your favorite author in the alphabetical listing.
“this website is dedicated to providing resources for public, school, and academic librarians to enhance their horror and paranormal fiction collection and assist in reader’s advisory. The site is also designed to help readers find new books to read. The site covers horror and paranormal books for adults, young adults and scary tales and monster related titles for children under 12.”
The Monster Librarian website is packed full of information and is extremely easy to use. The links at the top of the page take you to any of the resources you wish to search. One aspect that I find interesting is the horror book resources link. This link includes a “horror fiction releases” tab that lists fiction works that are coming soon along with the title, author, and publisher of the selected books. Be sure to check out the “just for fun” horror survival guide tab.
I recommend this site to any fan of horror fiction. If you are looking for books to read, interviews with your favorite authors, or if you are a librarian looking to add horror fiction titles to your stacks then this is definitely the site for you. Visit MonsterLibrarian.com and let them know you learned about their website from Eerie Alliance.
Also, be sure to stay tuned for the third installment of my website review series. If you have found a supernatural or horror fiction website that you would like for me to review feel free to leave a comment and let me know.
